of somatic diseases of children, pupils, students and adults" and
"High blood pressure and hypertension in rural population, as social and
medical problems. "A great emphasis is put on the influence of geo-meteorological
factors on the health of students, their microbiological status, with special
conern on the incidence of staphylococcal infections, social factors, that can
significantly influence the development and course of chronic diseases of the
cardiovascular system in terms of hypertension and hypertensive syndrome.

Perspectives for future
development
|
Regarding improvement of the educational process in the ERI of Biomedical
Problems, it was planned to:
• increase
the pool of teachers who fluently speak English;
• prepare the
video lectures for distant learning students in three languages;
• equip the thematic
classrooms, laboratories and supply them with the necessary instruments;
• write English
language textbooks for foreign students.Another long term aim of ERI of
Biomedical Problems is a certification of the laboratory for
psycho-physiological studies based on the department of normal physiology. It
is assumed that the new division will carry out both fundamental and practical
work, that will ensure the current long-term tasks are completed.
