Ternopil City Hall “Berezil” a charity festival
called "International Cultural Exchange Night 2010 - Colors of the
World" was held
For two
consecutive years students of I.Ya.Horbachevsky
Ternopil State
Medical University
conducted a charitable festival in the largest concert hall of Ternopil -
palace “Berezil”. This year festival was called "International Cultural
Exchange Night 2010 - Colors of the World". It was a real celebration of
emotions and colors, fireworks of songs and dances, customs and cultures of the
world nations. Students from Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Sudan,
Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Poland, Ukraine and other countries show-cased their
various cultures. Representatives of regional and city administrations,
director of the Center for International Programs of the Ministry of Public
Health of Ukraine, first secretaries of foreign embassies and other officials
were present at the event. The festival was opened by the Rector of the
University, Corresponding Member of AMS of Ukraine, Professor L.Ya. Kovalchuk.
One can say that this year the festival has become all-ukrainian, since
students from Lugansk State Medical University and O.O. Bohomolets National
Medical University participated along side Ternopil medical students.
In addition to the concert during the festival, students demonstrated
traditional clothing of their various countries and held an exhibition of
traditional folk style.
All funds
collected during the preparation and conduction of the festival will be donated
to Berezhanska boarding school.

The festival was opened by the Rector of the University, Corresponding Member of
AMS of Ukraine, Professor L.Ya. Kovalchuk.
