Visit of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Malaysia in Ukraine Abdul Sani Omar

On the 28^th of March, 2009 the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Malaysia in Ukraine Abdul Sani Omar with his spouse and the first secretary of Embassy of Malaysia visited I.Ya. Horbachevsky TSMU.

On behalf of the University and its rector, corresponding member of AMS of Ukraine, professor L.Ya.Kovalchuk professor Ihor Mysula greeted the guests at a conference hall.

During the meeting presentation about I.Ya. Horbachevsky TSMU, its history and present activity was represented. Nowadays the university provides educational, scientific, treatment work, publishing activity. The University takes the 4^th place among higher medical establishments in Ukraine. The students study at 5 faculties.

Today 706 boys and girls from 44 countries of the world study at the Faculty of Foreign Students, including 44 Malaysia students. The Malaysian students are very hardworking and responsible.

During the meeting our guests obtained the information concerning the modern European methods of teaching and information technologies introduced at the University, about collaboration of I.Ya. Horbachevsky TSMU with leading foreign higher medical educational establishments, and other important aspects of University activity.

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Malaysia in Ukraine Abdul Sani Omar Extraordinary asked about admission rules of our University, and told that Malaysia is interested in collaboration with higher educational institutions of Ukraine, in particular, with I.Ya. Horbachevsky TSMU.

The guests visited some University buildings, a hostel, met Malaysian students. And in the evening they visited cultural centre „Berezil”, where the evening of international cultural exchange took place – the charity concert, initiated by foreign medical students. 30 thousand UAH, gathered during the charity action, were sent to the regional specialized house „Malyatko” (Kid).
