There are 743 students are studding on Stomatological faculty, including 574 Ukrainian students and 169 foreigners. Of these, the state order 38. In addition, 280 medical interns are studying at the departments.
Courses provide 47 teachers, which are 2 (4.3%) Doctors Of Science, 7 (14.9%), PhDs, without a scientific degree 38 (80.8%) teachers. It is gratifying to note that last year 10 assistants completed their scientific work, were tested in the University, including 2 theses submitted to the official academic council.

Departments of the Faculty introduced new teaching methods and programs to improve the educational process. Departments teams prepared guidelines, tests, training materials for lectures and classes. The syllabus posted on the web-pages of university departments. To prepare students to practice were introduced a line of practical skills-matrykuly that is a good incentive for students to learning skills. The result of practical skills learning is the objective structured clinical examination. Under provisions OSKE is tolerance of students to examinations. Graduation rate of dental faculty have a comprehensive practical-oriented state examination that combines four areas of dentistry: therapeutic, surgical, orthopedic and dentistry pediatric.
State final examinations in 2011
Starting from the 2009-2010 school year to improve the learning of practical skills of 5 th year students and of medical interns were introduced weekly cycle training in educational practical centers of primary health care. To do this, trained and equipped training base in rural areas: Zarubincy, Hnylytsi, Kokoshyntsi, Uvysla and Velykyi Hovyliv. During training in the teaching on practice centers of primary health care 2584 patients were checked up. Students showed its best side, not only as dentists, as well as a doctors in providing of emergency care.

Computer technology using.
All Departments of Dental Faculty are computerized with access to the Internet. From the 2007-2008 school year due to the introduction of general university electronic control knowledge Moodle, the lecturer was carried out extensive work on filling the remote control knowledge with test objectives, situational tasks, graphic materials. Not less than 250 tests for one lesson were prepared.
Remote of knowledge control are introduced in all disciplines taught at the faculty.
Research
The team of dental faculty is actively involved in the scientific life of Ukraine. A two National Scientific Conference (November 2009 - "New technologies in dentistry," November 2010 - Current issues dentistry today "). October 21, 2011 held a regional conference "Innovative technologies in dentistry." The conference was attended by 123 scientists of Ukraine, Vice Rector for Clinical Work, MD Yarema II, chief dentist UOZ Ternopil Regional State Administration Kuharchuk OD
The faculty has student’s scientific society. Students are actively involved in research work on the program 'students - future expert level skills. "In spring 2011, the National Medical University named by AA Bohomolets (Kyiv), a phase II Ukrainian student competition in dentistry. Our team was represented by 5 students in the second round. Overall the team won II place.

On April 2011 in Lviv was Ukrainian competition for the best practical work among students of dental faculties of universities with III-IV levels of accreditation. Large number of participants of competition was widely represented by participants from all regions of Ukraine. The organizing committee carefully picked patients, offering contestants to review, diagnosis and treatment - the restoration of teeth with modern filling materials, previously agreeing his plan with members of the commission. Student of the Stomatological Faculty TMSU Horbachevsky Eugene Osarchuk graduated first degree diploma.
In Lviv National Medical University named by Danylo Galytskyi held annual international student intellectual game "Brain-ring in dentistry, " based on the dental faculty of them .. AA Bohomolets in 2000. In 2011, our team " ÑÊÀÉÑ " for the first time took part in this game, which is already 11-year history. Ternopil team eventually won the third place and became the first ever international student intellectual game, which debuted in the competition and become a winner.

On the initiative of Rector at the dental department launched the publication of scientific and practical journal "Clinical Stomatology". To date, published two rooms gradually filled with reactionary portfolio and 2 rooms are expected to print out.
