Educational
work of the Department
|
|
Students of medical, pharmaceutical, dental faculties and students
of educational research nursing institute study at the department. The students
have the option to be trained in 3 languages: Ukrainian, English, and Russian.
The department is working on implementing the
new educational system 'The concept of the development of I.Horbatchevsky Ternopil State Medical University (the integration into the world medical space)' (Ternopil:
Ukrmedknyha, 2006, 49pp.)
Students are trained according to the system of
'a single working day' and the practically-oriented 'Z system'. 'Z system' is
the up-to-date progressive method of training medical studentd, that promotes
the assimilation of basic and advanced diagnostic methods and the principles of
patient treatment in the course of studying pathological physiology both
theoratically and practically.

During the educational procces at the
department, teachers ay attention to the analysis of the changes of the vital a
indices at different diseases and pathological processes, such as the
assessment of changes in urine, ECG data, spirography, reovasography,
qualitative and quantitative blood tests etc.
The educational process is based in the methodic
principles 'Methodic instructions for teachers concerning the organization of
the educational process at TSMU' (Ternopil: Ukrmedknyha, 2006, 25p.). The
Internet resourses, the web-page of the department with all the necessary
scientific educational information for students are used for effective
teacher-student interaction.

To ensure a high level of practical training of
medical student the department created the conditions for receiving skills
mandatory for the 3rd line of matriculation, which are in accordance with the
educational qualification features. Conductrd workshops provide different
methods: the classic form – the experiment and discuss its results, analysis of
teaching and analytical maps, the solution of case problems, test control knowledge
and skills, preparation of abstracts on selected issues.
Among the publication of teaching materials
there are 62 copies of educational materials. Among them, 2 manuals by prof.
O.A.Markova, 'Adrenaline myacardial dystrophy' (1997), 'Oxygen starvation of
the organism'(1997), model program 'Pathological Physiology' for Nursing
Colleges (1998), a textbook prof. V. V. Fayfura co-authored 'Pathological
anatomy and pathological human physiology'(2000), CD 'Pathological anatomy and
pathological physiology of man'(2000), 2-wah edition of the workshop on
pathological physiology (2004, 2005), manuals : 'Pathological physiology. Part
1. Nosology'(2003); 'Pathological physiology. Part 2. Typical pathological
processes' (2003); 'Pathological physiology. Part 3. pathophysiology
organs and systems' (2003), 'Pathological physiology' 2006 ).
